You're not too busy to train...

You’re just not treating your goals like they matter… Yet.

Look I’m not saying that every now and then that EVERYTHING will get in your way of your running.

I’m saying if you really want to progress your training and race to your potential then You have to prioritise You.

If your calendar is full of everyone else's needs and your training is “I’ll squeeze it in” then I'm saying this to you - you're allowed to have goals and priorities the time to work towards them.

Here’s what this has looked like for me at times, and why you might want to save this as a reminder;

▶️ Planning on a Sunday where the gaps are in my week (and what I have to work around).

▶️ Not getting to work early, getting training done and arriving on time (hello boundaries) - or using lunchtime efficiently.

▶️ Sometimes not watching the kids sport (controvertial… but I know I’m a better parent when I get my running in!)

▶️ Saying no when I know there is key training to be done (the people who matter will understand).

▶️ Leaving the kids with grandparents - it’s an hour of quality time.

▶️ Letting the household slide (just a little) and catching up later - it’s ok!

Got anything to add? How do you protect your training time?
